Proposition 65, officially the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires warnings to California consumers when they may be exposed to chemicals that the State of California has identified as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings help consumers make informed decisions about exposure to these chemicals from the products they use.

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the program and publishes the list of chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
